At Seaforde Scrap Metals, we can offer a complete skip collection service.

We have 1 chain lift skip lorry and 2 roll on/off lorries and supply skips to a large range of customers. We also have an articulated trailer which can hold up to 30 cubic metres and a HIAB lorry can also be arranged on demand.
All our skips are regularly inspected to ensure they comply with the relevant, health, safety and environmental legislation and also that they are cosmetically presentable.
We can supply skips anywhere in the Co. Down and Greater Belfast area and can usually accommodate any request in at least 24 hours.
We also offer immediate payment for loads of scrap metals received.

The Grab lorry

This is an ideal collection service were the lorry is able to load the metal itself, very handy if all the metal is on a building site in one pile or in an old farm where there is no large machines or extra staff on site to load skips.
Some customers request this lorry to collect the big items and then order either a Chain skip or roll-on off type to fill themselves for small pieces of metal.
The customer can get paid by cheque, Bacs or follow the lorry to get paid in person at the yard.
It`s nick named the Grab Lorry

Roll on /off Skip

This collection system has been very popular over the years.
It is normal for factories & demolition sites to use these types of skips. Customers doing their own yard/farm clearance will also use this type of skip.
The skips are in 3 sizes all same length just sides are different. Low side (4 foot), Medium side (5/6 feet) or Large side (6/7 feet)
The skip in the photo above is a 6 foot 6 inch high side.

Chain Skip

These types of skips are very popular with engineering companies or large Garages. These companies generate scrap metal every day and find having a skip on site very convenient and it avoids double handling.
Also smaller customers ask for these if they are clearing out and old disused building or yard clearance.

Tilt & Slide Flat crane body

This vehicle is very versatile it`s body tips up and sides back and is fitted with a winch so its is able to pull up heavy items such has old Machinery, Lorry bodies & various oversized items.
It is fitted with a crane and can therefore lift on its own metal pieces. It is very popular with site clearance jobs because the oversized pieces are taken away in one piece to our specially equipped licence processing yard and dangerous or noisy work can be carried out there rather than on your site.

Car/Van collection

This bespoke built Collection van is very popular. Because of it sized and low Tare weight it can easily fit in to most domestic driveways and safely collect End of Life Vehicles at a time convenient to our customers.
